Jack andThe

BeanstalkBy: Madison J-Gilbert

There once was a Hen that laid golden

eggs.

The Hen lived in a very big castle with a Giant and his Wife up above

the clouds.

He came from a beanstalk that grew up

from below

the clouds

.

They were never bothered by anyone until

one day when a boy came to the castle.

They were never bothered by anyone until

one day when a boy came to the castle.

The boy’s name was Jack and when he got to the house he came into

the kitchen.

When Jack walked in, the Giants wife was making

the Giant some breakfast.

When she saw Jack she asked "Aren't you the

boy who was here before.”

But Jack convinced her she was wrong and in time her

heart softened and she gave him some breakfast.

As Jack was eating the ground shuddered and the great voice boomed: “Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum." And

quickly, Jack jumped into the oven.

quickly, Jack jumped into the oven.

When the Giant came in He said

“I smell the blood of an Englishman,

Be he alive or be he dead,I'll grind his bones to

make my bread."

The giant's wife put a plate of sizzling sausages before him,

telling him he must be mistaken.

After breakfast the giant fetched a hen. Every

time he said "Lay!" the hen laid an egg of solid

gold.

While Jack was in the oven he thought “I must steal that hen, if I can when the Giant goes to sleep”

Soon enough the Giant fell asleep and Jack jumped out and took the Hen.

He ran out of the house to the Beanstalk with the Hen.

He climbed down as fast as

he could,

keeping the Hen under

his arm.

Jack's mother was waiting but she was not pleased when she saw the Hen.

"Another of your silly ideas, is it, bringing an old hen when you might have brought us some

gold?” Jack’s mother said

Then jack set the hen down carefully, and

commanded "Lay!" just as the giant had done.

LAY

To his mother's surprise the hen laid an egg of solid gold.

Jack and his mother then lived in great luxury with there

new chicken.
