Market is moving topacket backhaul
14
Source: Heavy Reading Ethernet Backhaul Tracker, June-2012
“TDM will go from being present at 97% of cell sites at the end of 2010 to 84% at the end of 2012 and just 40% by the end of 2015”
“Packet backhaul will be rolled out to support 78% of the world’s cell sites by the end of 2015.
77% of these packet backhaul deployments, will be in pure packet mode by the end of 2015.”

Enhanced QoS – Key Features and Capabilities
Added value: What is in it for me Feature
Improved Utilization • Enhanced and configurable queues buffer size (4Mbit total)• WRED - Best Utilization of the link when TCP/IP sessions are
transported . Provides up to 25% more capacity.
Advanced SLA • Granular SLA enforcement and traffic policing: TrTCM (CIR + EIR) - dual-rate limit per service (VLAN / VLAN + CoS) New in i6.9, R3 hardware only!
Enhanced service differentiation
• 8 CoS queues (vs. 4 in standard QoS) • Additional classification criteria – MPLS EXP bits and UDP ports• Shaping per CoS queue• Sync. Optimized transport - best performance for 1588 packets
Superior monitoring capabilities
• Per queue counters - Transmitted and dropped traffic• Per service counters (VLAN / VLAN + CoS) New in i6.9, R3 hardware
only!

License Reuse/Reclaim
31
Proprietary and ConfidentialProprietary and Confidential
License Reuse/Reclaim
3232323232
The needed steps for License Reclaim:
1. LMS User generates a new license
• LMS keeps the request, generated a new reduced license key
2. The IP-10 Web EMS User loads the new reduced license code to the IP-10
• The IP-10 return with a “validation key”, and changes the licenses on the IP-10
3. LMS User feeds validation number into the LMS
• The user account will get credit for this downgrade and it can be reused on any other IP-10
• It can work for RMA too, but only if the IP-10 SW is still working…

RADIUS Support
33
Proprietary and ConfidentialProprietary and Confidential
RADIUS Client Support
• Provides centralized user management services
• Supports RADIUS server and provides a RADIUS client for authentication and authorization
User attempting to log into the system (CLI, WEB, SNMP):
• If the RADIUS server is reachable• Server sends the appropriate user privilege to the IP-10, or Rejecting it • If rejected, the user will be unable to log in
• If the RADIUS server is unavailable, the IP-10 will attempt to authenticate the user locally, according to the existing list of defined users
