• Internet is publicly accessible network of interconnected computers which communicate via software protocol standards.

• Internet has become a global infrastructure with no central control.

• A Local Area Network (LAN) is a group of computers and associated devices that share a common communications line or wireless link.

• Domain Name A unique name used to identify the name of a computer server such as web server or email server in the computer or internet.Examples: fk.ugm.ac.id, libmed.ugm.ac.id

• Subscription to an Internet Service Provider (ISP).

• Using a telephone line (telkomnet instant, speedy, etc) and extra device called modem.

• Using GPRS / 3G modem, generally found in cellular phones.
