International master’sprogramme in psychology

In the fall of 2020, the Department ofPsychology will start its newInternational two-year master’sprogramme in psychology. Theprogramme’s overall objective is toprovide a broad and in-depthknowledge base within the field ofpsychology. The programme includesresearch methodology, which may beof use in the labour market in general,but also as a preparation for furtherstudies at the doctoral level withinpsychology. 

The programme is a coherent degree programme thatcomprises 120 credits, meaning four semesters of full-time studies. The programme consists of four mainblocks: Block A: 30 credits of compulsory coursesBlock B: 30 credits of elective courses in psychologyBlock C: 30 credits of entirely elective coursesBlock D: Master’s thesis (30 credits) The programme gives a range of courses in psychologybut it is also possible to combine these studies withcourses in other subject areas, at other universities (inSweden or in another country).

Entry requirements and other conditions for admissionto the programme: a bachelor degree comprising atleast 180 credits with at least 90 credits in psychology,or an equivalent foreign degree. English level 6, orequivalent.
