IASA is responsible for the Development, Hosting & Maintenance of the International Grid Applications Database [http://appdb.egi.eu]

The EGI Applications Database (AppDB) is a full-edged, community driven web portal, meant to act as:• a point-of-reference for scientific applications and tools available within the EGI infrastructure (over 400 registered applications and tools)• registry of experts involved in the development of the applications (over 600 registered scientists & developers)

Main aims :• promote the significance of Grid in the e-Science• facilitate the reuse of applications and expertise that is available in National Grid Initiatives• help create a vibrant user community, with information owing inwards directly from involved individuals - developers and end-users alike
