• Guayota kidnapped Magec, – Magec: god of light and sun.

• Guayota took Magec inside the volcano.The people of the Island asked Achamán for help. – Achamán: supreme god.

• He fought Guayota and Achamán won. Magec left the volcano and he covered the top of the volcano so Guayota couldn’t leave.

• Ancient eruptions • 150.000 years ago • created the island today.

In the past

• Spanish people came to the Canary Island – Echeide Teide.

• In 1954 the National Park called las Cañadas moved to include Teide.
