Please let us know of any family members
serving in the military, no matter where they are stationed, so we can pray for them.
Masses are commonly offered for the souls of our departed loved ones, but Mass may also be offered for the intentions of those still with us, or in thanksgiving for blessings received. The Mass is the heart of our Catholic faith, and so it is the most potent prayer we can offer. Contact either rectory to schedule. The customary donation is $10.
COMMUNION AT HOME
Parishioners wishing to be visited by a Eucharistic Minister for Communion and who are not worried about accepting community members into their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, may call or e-mail either office.
We would also like to hear from parish Eucharistic Ministers who are feeling ready to bring Communion to the homebound.

Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Campaign volunteers have worked the phones diligently calling their fellow parishioners to invite them to join them in support of the Christ Our Hope: Building a Vibrant Church campaign. For many, this task was a major calling but, thanks to their faith, they accepted the challenge. We should all be grateful as we continue to see the benefits of their work. Members of our faith community continue to make commitments pushing our campaign thermometer upward.
We thank our volunteers and we offer sincere thanks to our donors for their sacrifice. Those who’ve yet to commit, please spend time in prayer to define your gift and remember your sacrifice will help in our goal to build a vibrant parish for today and well into the future.

Holy Rosary Church Grounds
Clean Up
Leaves are falling! Some time at the
end of October, leaves and debris need
to be raked up and removed from the
church grounds. It would be great to
have more volunteer help to get this
task done. Members of the Buildings
and Grounds Committee will be
asking Parishioners for a little
assistance.
Good clean work, outside, socially
distanced, and mask wearing will make
this a safe endeavor. Please consider
a couple hours of volunteer labor to
help get this task finished. Thanks.
SAINTS SIMON AND JUDE, APOSTLES October 28
Saint Jude, apostle and . . . Hollywood success story? Indeed! Beyond Simon’s being a “ Zealot” for Israel’s liberation and Jude’s question about Jesus revealing himself (John 14:22), no historic facts are known about either saint. But Saint Jude’s well-known patronage of lost causes and hopeless cases is largely due to a desperate vow made just before World War II by a struggling entertainer, the son of Arab-American immigrants, Danny Thomas. Unemployed, his wife about to give birth, Danny, attending Mass, impulsively donated his last seven dollars to the collection, promising: “Saint Jude, if you help me find my way in life, I will build a shrine in your honor!” Older Americans remember well Danny’s long, successful movie and television career. Grateful parents worldwide know the miracles that have taken place for fifty years at his Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where needy children are cared for regardless of race, religion, or financial resources, and monumental advances continue in healing and preventing pediatric cancers and catastrophic childhood diseases. A living, life-giving partnership is this “Communion of Saints”: Simon, Jude, Danny Thomas—us! —Peter Scagnelli, Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
CHARACTER
Character is much easier kept than recovered. —Thomas Paine
The Cry Rooms, also know as the Confessional at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, have reopened for families who may need to use them during Mass. Please, only one family per Mass. Leave the door open when you leave at the end of Mass. That is our cue to sanitize the room(s) after use.

OLHR Cemetery News
October is upon us and now is the time to do final maintenance on your family cemetery plots. Please dispose of old plastic pots, wilted flowers and any other debris that may have accumulated on your plots and around the monuments. Please remember any glass containers are a hazard to the crew that mows and trims our grounds and needs to be removed. The cemetery gates are normally closed in the first week of November. Your attention to details saves us valuable maintenance hours in our cemetery.
Christ Our Hope Campaign
Our Lady of the Holy Rosary has reached 8% of our Christ Our Hope goal of $124,483. Thank you! Oct 16
Thank you Thomas Duffy for cantoring at the
8:30 Mass on Sunday morning!
In honor and memory of his wife, Madeline Noel, Phil made a generous donation to our cemetery fund. The monies were expended to improve a road in the cemetery which was in very poor condition. Many of us remember Madeline as the wonderful care giver who provided day care for our children when they were infants. Many thanks to Phil for his generous donation to our cemetery.
