• 1) Intro• For our paper the intro is the opening story,

brief overview of your topic and the list of stakeholders.• This section should aim to catch your readers

attention and give him a brief description about what you are going to be talking about in the rest of your essay.

GENERAL ESSAY BREAK DOWN

• 2) Body• For our paper the body is the three descriptions

that you are asked to provide.• “a thorough description of your topic’s environmental

problems • a description of various efforts to find solutions to your

topic’s environmental problems• a description of what you think should be priority

actions to address your topic’s environmental problems”

• This sections should be the longest and most descriptive.

GENERAL ESSAY BREAK DOWN

• 3) Conclusion• For our paper the conclusion is the closing

story.• This section should summarize what you

discussed in your paper AND• Try to instill a sense of urgency to address the

environmental issue that your paper talks about.

PARAGRAPH BREAK DOWN

• When writing each paragraph you apply the same three steps: Intro, body, conclusion.• Each paragraph should: • have an introductory sentence (intro) • followed by the detailed descriptions (body) that

addresses the topic of the paragraph• This section is the “meat” of your paragraph where you

should give detailed information supported by quotes and citations.

• and concluded by a closing statement (conclusion) that sums up the paragraph and leads the reader into the topic of the next paragraph.
