Facebook app The Facebook app is developed by Bas Wanrooij from Griekenland.net with guidelines from

Municipality of Hersonissos. This app was placed on the Facebook page of Zoover and

Griekenland.net and functioned as an application form to enter the contest. Participants had to

answer the question: How would you describe the real Crete?

Zoover website We have placed a poll (where do you discover the real Greece), two beautiful accommodations in

Hersonissos and a link to the Crete Reporter page on the Zoover Weblog which contained all the

information about the contest.

Zoover Newsletters We have mentioned the contest in two newsletters during the competition. The first newsletter was

sent to all the MyZoover members. The second one was sent to all the Zoover newsletter

subscribers. The newsletter that was sent to the MyZoover members was dedicated to Greece. It

contained an Interview with a big fan of Greece, sightseeing tips and the results of the poll.

Zoover weblog We have written four pages about the contest. One article about the contest in general, one page

with the terms and conditions, one page with a small contest that we changed every day and one

page about with photo’s and descriptions of the four accommodations.

Social Media We have promoted the contest on Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Besides promoting the contest

we have asked our followers to share their most beautiful pictures of Greece with us, we have

created a poll on Facebook and shared some fun facts about Hersonissos and Crete.
