Second place for Sam!
Before the Christmas break, we found out that Sam, in Year 2, had represented East Hoathly as he competed in a trampolining competition. After some great routines, he picked up a trophy for third place.
Last weekend, Sam competed at the Schools Southern Zonal competition, where the top three gymnasts from each county met at Eastleigh. Sam was in a group of 19 boys and not only did he come 2nd place - he’s qualified for the finals, too!
East Hoathly school will be represented by Sam at the National Finals in Birmingham next half term!
We are all very proud of you, Sam! Keep it up!
FPTA Match Funding
Lots of companies offer employees the chance to boost their fundraising efforts by “matching” the money they raise. For example, one parent at the school works for Legal and General, and they match up to £500 of FPTA fundraising each year.
Unfortunately, there is no definitive list of companies who offer match funding. We would be very grateful if parents could check wheth-er their employer offers this, and if so, please do get in touch with us!
Thank you for your support,
FPTA

Nursery News
Nursery News This week in Nursery, we have been listening to others one to one and in small groups. The children have enjoyed lots of small group work playing Incy Wincy spider and Transport Lotto. We have been practising counting up to 10 and recognising numbers between 1 and 10 - the children are doing a fantastic job at this and are trying really hard.
Our story this week was ‘Aliens In Underpants Save The World’. The children have really enjoyed this story! They have used patterned rollers to decorate giant underpants and used pre-cut shapes to make their own rocket pictures. Our topic board is filling up fast in Nursery with beautiful artwork from the children.
Re-minders
Please can we remind all parents to come and collect Nursery children first if they have siblings at school. The Nursery day ends at 3:15 and a late fee will incur if picked up after this time. If you have any questions, please speak to Dawn.
Please can you ensure you check your children’s pigeon holes at the end of each session.
Thank you for your continued support,
Nursery Team
