Born on February 24, 1955 Adopted as an infant by Paul and Clara Jobs During his youth, Jobs enjoyed working on
electronics with his father While in high school, Jobs spent his free
time at Hewlett-Packard (HP) where he met computer guru Steve Wozniak.

his old friend Steve Wozniak. Wozniak had been working on the Apple I computer.
In 1976, Jobs and Wozniak co-founded Apple Computers, mainly working out of his families garage.
The Apple I computer was the first model to sell under the Apple name.

The next few products sold by Apple had numerous design flaws and recalls.
IBM (another major computer manufacturer) quickly surpassed Apple sales.
Executives soon began to phase Jobs out, which led him to resign as Apple’s CEO in 1985.
Pixar Animation Studios
Following Jobs resignation, he purchased an animation company which later became Pixar Animation Studios.
Jobs invested $50 million of his own money into the company, which later produced popular films including: Toy Story, Finding Nemo and The Incredibles.
Back to Apple In 1997, Apple asked Jobs to return to their
company and help them return to be the leader in the computer field once again.
In 1998, Apple introduced its iMac and iBook personal computers.
In 2000, Jobs became the CEO of Apple once again.
Soon after, Apple introduced the iPod and launched iTunes.
Jobs Final Years The iPhone and iPad were later launched. In 2006, Pixar merged with Walt Disney
Studios, making Steve Jobs the largest shareholder.
In 2011, Apple was declared the wealthiest company in America.
That same year, Jobs resigned as CEO due to his difficulties with pancreatic cancer.
Jobs died on October 5, 2011 at the age of 56.
