• The Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung BIBB -The Federal Institute for vocational training - structures the GPC with support of the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung BMBF - Federal Ministry for education and research.

– Mental / physical disabled or handicapped people– Disadvantaged people with unfavourable start

The action field of the GPC

• In the last 20 years were developed and promoted lots of successful and new approaches, projects and models for the promotion of young people with unfavourable start chances.

• A organized common spreading of available approaches has not taken place in Germany

• In Germany is no central information and communication point for people work with „Disadvantaged persons“.

The main tasks of the GPC:

• Establishment of an information flow for Good Practice – approaches and informations of the promotion of disadvantaged ones in the vocational training, incluiding available documentation forms

• Development of cooperation and communication structures under participation of the active institiutions and multipliers in the promotion of disadvanteged ones

Performances of the GPC

• Creation of an Internet-supported information platform with data banks, content informations and discussion groups

• Organisation of experts meetings, trade conferences and workshops to topics like

• New learning concepts Online-• Competence check Offline-• Individual promotion planning

• Publication of a „newsletter“ and print documents
