Notes on Replacement of Ceramic Filters and Vari-capDiodes
Ceramic filters used in the KT- , 9XG , 9XL are classifiedinto three groups according to their center frequencies. Eachset is equipped with one of these three types of filters.
Be sure to replace all four ceramic filters ICFl - CF4)
together using a filter kit which includes four filters with thesame center frequency when they need to be replaced.
The center frequency of each ceramic filter is identified bythe color in the upper corner Confirm that all the four filtersare of the same color after replacement.
Adequate performance will not be provided if the IF centerfrequency does not match the ceramic filter center frequency.The IF center frequency must be changed to match theceramic filter center frequency if the center frequency of theceramic filters removed is not the same as that of the newfilters. Change the I F center frequency by adding (or remov-ing) 033 and/or 034 to PC board Xl 3 in the combinationsshown in the table.
The ceramic filters used in this model are speciallyselected , and those used in other models cannot be used. Thevari-cap diodes IKVl 226) for the AM band must be replacedin pairs when one of them needs to be replaced.

Remarques sur Ie rem placement des filtres ceramiques etdiodes 11 capacite variable
Les filtres ceramiques qu utilise Ie KT- , 9XG , 9XL sont
classes en trois groupes seton leur s frequences nominales.Chaque appareil est equipe de I' un de ces trois types de filtre.
Veiller a rem placer en mBme temps les quatre filtres cera-miques ICFl a CF4) en utilisant un jeu de filtres qui com portequaere filtres ayant la mBme frequence nominale.
La frequence nominale de chaque filtre ceramique estidentifiee par la couleur de son angle superieur. S' assurerapres rem placement que les angles des quaere filtres sonttous de la mBme couleur.
Les performances adequates ne peuvent Btre obtenues sila frequence nominale intermediaire IF ne correspond pas alafrequence nominate du filtre ceramique. La frequence IF do Btre modlfiee pour correspondre a la frequence nominale desfiltres ceramlques si celie des filtres enleves est differente decelie des nouveaux filtres. Modifier la frequence nominaleintermediaire IF en ajoutant Iou en enlevant) 033 et/ou 034a la plaquette de circuits X13 en se referant aux combinai-sons mentionnees dans Ie tableau.
Les filtres ceramiques qu utilise ce modele sont choisisspecialement et ne peuvent Btre rem places par ceux qu utili-sent les autres modeles.

HINWEISE
Hinweise zum Austausch von Keramikfiltern und Halbleiter-Dioden mit veranderbarer Kapazitat
Die im KT- , 9XG , 9XL verwendeten Keramikfilter werdenihren Mittenfrequenzen entsprechend in " drei Gruppen
aufgeteilt. Jede Baugruppe ist mit einem Filter aus diesen dreiGruppen ausgestattet.
Auf jeden Fall aile vier Keramikfilter ICF- l - CF-4) unter
Verwendung des Filtersatzes , der vier Filter mit der gleichenMittenfrequenz enthiilt , austauschen , wenn dies erforderlichwird.
Die Mittenfrequenz jedes Keramikfilters wird anhand derFarbmarkierung in der oberen Ecke festgestellt. SicherstellendaG, nach dem Austausch aile vier Filter die gleiche Farbehaben werden.
Falls die ZF- Mittenfrequenz nicht mit der Mittenfrequenz
der Keramikfilter ubereinstimmt, kann die ordnungsgemiiG,eBetriebsleistung nicht erzielt werden Falls die Mittenfrequenzdes ausgetauschten Keramikfilters nicht mil der der neuenFilter uberinstimmt, muG, die ZF- Mittenfrequenz so veriindertwerden , daG, sie mit der Keramikfilter-Mittenfrequenzubereinstimmt. Die ZF-Mittenfrequenz veriindert man durchHinzufugen Ibzw. Entfernen) von D33 und/oder D34 an derLeiterplatte Xl 3 gemiiG, den in der Tabelle aufgefuhrten Kom-binationen
Die bei diesem Modell verwendeten Keramikfilter sind
speziell fUr diesen Zweck ausgewiihlt, und Filter andererModelle Kbnnen nicht verwendet werden.
Falls eine der Halbleiter-Dioden mit veriinderbarerKapazitiit (KVl 226) fur das AM-Band ausgetauscht werdenmuss , ist stees ein paarweiser Austausch erforderlich.
