Our Fond du Lac Says No More initiative is the largest public awareness and advocacycampaign ever undertaken in the history of the Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund. The initiative focuses on the prevention of power-based violence with specific attention to reducing sexualassault, domestic violence and child abuse throughout Fond du Lac County. Phase I got under way in 2018 andcontinued throughout 2019 with a goal of raising awareness and providing tools for the community to help inthe reduction of power-based incidents. Project Table Talk and Green Dot Bystander Intervention projectswere unveiled in Phase I. Phase II will add in opportunities to engage more men and boys in speaking outagainst violence against women and children. This is an opportunity to expand the positive energy of theWomen’s Fund’s FDL Says No More initiative to showcase ideas and involvement of good men stepping forwardto ensure their voices rise above the deeds of abusive men.

LEADERCAST WOMENCONFERENCE
The Power of the Purse is our largest annual event andattracts 400+ attendees. During the luncheon, we feature akeynote speaker on an important topic affecting women/girls,honor a local woman with our annual Women of AchievementAward and give a report to the community on our previousyear’s accomplishments. Proceeds from the event specificallysupport our efforts to educate, empower and inspire womenand girls through grant-making, focused initiatives andadvocacy efforts.
Although we historically feature a womanas keynote, this year’s event speaker fitswith the direction of our Fond du Lac SaysNo More initiative in striving to engagemore men and boys in ending violenceagainst women and children. Mike foundedThe Date Safe Project (now The Center forRespect) in Milwaukee and conductsthousands of training sessions annually.
