Apart from the sheer enjoyment to be had in well-organized sports, Oaklawn

Academy strives for its clinics to offer more than just healthy recreation. Besides developing a

child’s body, well-monitored sports will increase self-confidence, ability to work in a team,

willingness to accept and meet challenges, and the desire for constant self-improvement.

Students may choose four clinics a year, one clinic for each term (autumn, two winter terms

and spring.)

Autumn course. This program has been designed for students from the

Southern Hemisphere whose summer vacation takes place between January and February.

Students in this program begin their school year in their homeland and conclude it after

transferring to Oaklawn Academy midway through the year. Their school year is completed

through participation in the activities of Oaklawn Academy’s Annual Course from September through

December.

Spring course. This course program is offered to those who begin the school year at their own

schools and wish to conclude it at Oaklawn Academy.

Annual course. This program runs each year from early September to early

June. The academic year ends in June with a two-day concluding ceremony which parents

are encouraged to attend. These celebrations include Mass, a picnic, horse show,

band/choir concert, and awards ceremony.

Soccer

The academic program is designed to challenge and develop the

intellect of each one of our students. If students need additional help, or perform below their

ability, they are offered individual tutoring during one of their study periods.

They arrive in January and stay through June. Before going back to their respective countries,

students may take a standardized English exam to certify their proficiency in the English

language. Many of our former Oaklawn Academy students have returned to the United States

to continue their education at secondary and university levels.
