BIGGEST STRUGGLES MOVING TO A NEW CITY
About: Sarah is a recent graduate who works in Northern VA. During the week, Sarah spends her evenings cooking and relaxing in front of the TV. On the weekends, she enjoys going to breweries during the day or going out at night. She is a fun and outgoing person who simply hasn’t found or been given the opportunity to meet new people or discover new events.
SARAH, 22, SINGLE
Goals: •Finding events for a specific day
of the week. •Messaging people who she may
be interested in meeting up with.
Behaviors: •Sarah is a creature of habit and
needs some motivation to break her current routine.
•She is an outgoing individual who is eager to meet new people.
Frustrations: •Finds herself doing the same thing
weekend after weekend. •Going to a bar doesn't give her the
connection ‘you actually need to make a friend’.
NICK, 23, ENGAGEDAbout: Nick works for a small consulting firm in Arlington, VA. Because the company is so small, only a handful of his co-workers are his age, which limits the opportunity to meet people at work who will become true friends. Having a fiancé, he doesn’t necessarily have the desire to go out with the sole intention to meet people, and would rather do things together.
Goals: •Finding events in his areas •Being able to browse by category. •Being able to quickly navigate to
what is going on on a specific day.
Behaviors: •Having a fiancé whom he lives with,
Nick will typically never go places or do things alone.
•Tends to just meet friends of friends.
Frustrations: •He only knows of services that you
have to buy tickets in advance for. •Apps or websites that show deals
tend to be out of date or inaccurate.
