Moderator Don Rogers opened the Business Meeting with prayer. There were 23members present.The minutes for April 20, 2008, were approved as read. No correspondence was re-
ported. Since there was no quorum, a vote is needed on one of the items listed un-der old business.
The updated list for April 2008 has been placed in the Membership Records book inthe church office. Active members total 85; inactive members total 124; non-members (friends) total 27; and total church participation is 236.
Roger Hughes’ Treasurer’s Report was provided. Ben Guyot presented the BuildingFund Report. The financial reports were approved. Both financial reports areposted on the hall bulletin board each month.
The following committee reports were presented:Pastor’s Report was provided.Deacons Report – noneTrustees Report by Jim Stathers
There is discussion about installing insulation. The elevator has been repaired.Christian Education Board by Mary Ellison
There were six campers. Children’s Sunday was held in June. Jackie Godfrey isthe teacher for 3rd – 5th grades. Teachers and volunteers are in place for VBS.August 15th will be Promotion Sunday.
Constitution Revision by Ben GuyotThe committee members are Wanda Wiseley, Ben Guyot, and Jackie Godfrey.The Constitution will be reviewed every two years. Proposed Amendments werepresented for review. Revisions were discussed. Copies are available in the office.
Unfinished Business:The proposal to approve the nomination and budget for the Area IV meeting was ap-
proved.
New Business:None
A motion was made by Clint Fultz and seconded by Jackie Godfrey to adjourn.Don Rogers dismissed the meeting with prayer.
