EVENTS FACTSHEET
At Future Cities Catapult our mission is to help firms develop innovative products and services that meet the needs of
cities – and help them sell those products and services to the world. A key component in delivering that mission is
connecting businesses to the latest and emerging academic research so that they can harness that knowledge to
develop innovative propositions.
What we offer: From the time you start exploring your venue options, to the time you complete a site visit, there’s a lot to think about to ensure your venue is supporting an excellent delegate and event experience.
• Event management Our expert Events team can manage all aspects of your conference, seminar or other event.
• Free Wifi Anyone using our building facilities has free access to our wi-fi broadband connection.
• Catering We can arrange any requirement you may have for catering through our preferred suppliers.
• Audio Visual We have a full audio-visual package included in the room hire - HD projector, HD screens, Laptops, speakers. Audio Visual technical support on request
• Stationery All rooms come with stationery – white boards and flipcharts available
A place to host your events from small meetings to multi-day conferences, if you're planning an event the Urban Innovation Centre is the space you'll want to use.
You can hire the building for exclusive use. We are the perfect venue for:
• Conferences and corporate events
• Meetings
• Press conferences
• Launch events
• Lectures and seminars
• Exhibitions – small
The venue is open from 08.00am up to 08.00pm. On request the building can be open before 08.00am and after 08.00pm. As we are located in a residential area our latest closing time is 9pm, therefore the latest event finish time allowed will be 8.30pm.
THE AUDITORIUM AND BREAK-OUT SPACE (BASEMENT)
The Auditorium is a generous sized space to hold your theatre/presentation style event or workshop. With a maximum seated capacity
of 80, the space has a ceiling hung projector, screen, laptop, speakers, 4 x Revolab lapel mics and refreshment area. You will also have use of the adjacent break-out area (that also has a large mobile screen) which comes as part of the space. This is where you can host your refreshments and provides an opportunity for your guests to network. In addition, there is separate seating in our alcove areas that can each accommodate up to 12 people and can also hold workshop-style events.

IGLOO Shared Virtual Reality Experience
Igloo is a temporary installment (1st October – 16th December) offering a unique shared VR
experience. Compared to “stepping inside a giant VR headset”, the Igloo experience will offer
businesses a new way to visually communicate their products and services to clients through
the screening of pausable 360 degrees films, CAD model fly-throughs or data visualisations.
The Igloo Vision Cylinder offers easy-to-use functions, being able to read models from multiple
different CAD applications including AutoCAD, Sketchup and Revit. It offers the user full
navigation control, through its easy-to-use remote controller system that is fully compatible with
personal touch screen smart devices.
Structure 6 metre diameter, 3 metre high aluminum truss frame.
Showtime fabric outer skin. High gain tensioned fabric, fully immersive 360º projection screen. Lockable door .

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Our closest rail station is Farringdon, served by the
underground and mainline national rail services. We are
a 25-minute walk from both King's Cross and Liverpool
Street. We are also a two-minute walk from Clerkenwell
Road, which is served by various bus routes.
BY BIKE
We have showers, changing facilities and indoor storage
for those arriving by bicycle. Please ask at reception
for access. Clerkenwell is accessible via numerous
designated quiet routes and you will find a Santander
Cycle Hire docking station at the south end of Sekforde
Street.
BY CAR
We are served by both the A1 and the A201. Sekforde
Street is a one-way street and access is from the south
via Clerkenwell Road. There is limited pay and display
parking available on Sekforde Street, which is within the
Congestion Charge zone.
