1. Protect calcareous grasslands by all the regulatory tools avalaibleI.e. :
- Natural Reserve for the more interesting sites.
- « Arrêté de protection de Biotope » (= prohibition to disturb species or habitats)
- Register sites as « Natural area » in Urban Local Plan.
2. Encourage Local collectivities to contract with private owners or buy the abandoned sites, where an important issue exists.
I.e. :
- Sites in priority 1, with high ecological interest
- Sites in priority 2, doing a ecological link between 2 others interested sites.

1. Sensibilize local authorities and stakeholders to increase the number of protected and managed sites.
2. Support and assist local projects, like eco-grazing projects.

4. Assess the management on sites by scientific monitoring.

1. Develop cooperative projects at a large scale such as « Life » projects.
2. Improve partnership with agricultural community.
3. In the future, we will have to find a balance between ecologicalmanagement and the probable developpement of vineyard.
4. Calcareous hillsides could be used to follow the impact of global warming.
