Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to plan, coordinate and manage the engineering and design of the

client projects and mainly in charge of Piping Group.

Core Accountabilities

1) Leadership

• Provides leadership and assistance to his team members.

• Provides technical direction and work-related advice.

• Demonstrates an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility.

• Oversees, reviews, and directs the actions of his team members assignments and

pro!ects.

• "stablish Design "ngineering Proced#res.

• $eviews and approves the work proced#res, and sched#les prepared by Pro!ect %eam for

engineering gro#p.

• &ss#mes responsibility for the performance of all tasks needed for the timely and

s#ccessf#l completion of the pro!ects, in accordance with the clients specifications, and all

contract#al terms and conditions.

• 'oordinates engineering matter with the client and s#bcontractors.

• $eviews and approves engineering doc#ments i.e. drawings, specifications and

re(#isitions.

• nterprets designs, drawings and specifications* and provides technical advice to

'onstr#ction Department, +&+' Department eplaining re(#irements of engineering and

design specifications consistent with good constr#ction practice.

• anages the comm#nication and facilitates interdepartmental cooperation and shared

work.

• &pproves lesson and learnt.

• $eviews and approves re(#ired manpower assignment and forecast for each pro!ect.

• Defines pro!ect scope and ob!ectives.

• "ns#res that engineering work proceeds in accordance with the (#ality ass#rance plan.

• "stablishes eval#ative process for eval#ating progress and achievements toward the

pro!ect goals. %his process incl#des both team and individ#al progress and performance

reviews.)

• $eviews stat#s of all engineering works, and directs the respective gro#p leaders to take

necessary meas#res so as to ens#re compatibility with the overall sched#le.

• $eviews and approves all ma!or change orders and periodically reviews change order

controls to determine their ade(#acy and whether change orders are eec#ted in a timely

manner.

• &ttends periodical meetings with the client to review progress, disc#sses ma!or 'hanges in

the work and resolves problems raised between the client and '&"L.

• Obtains the clients approval for field design changes.

• $eviews all non-conformance and concession reports.

• Prepares the disposition plan for non-conformance items, in coordination with the +&+'

Department and a#thori2es disposition after approval by the client.

• $eports changes#pplemental work to the 'ontrol Department. Prepare description of

change proposal.

3) Doc#ment 'ontrol

• Plans and directs receiving, distrib#tion, and filing of drawings and specifications thro#gh

the Doc#ment 'ontrol 0ro#p.

• &ss#res development of complete engineering records for the pro!ect record.

• &ss#res that the latest drawings and other engineering doc#ments are maintained and

accessible to all personnel in the office and that s#bcontractors have the latest revisions.

• 'oordinates t#rnover proced#re efforts among all parties concerned, incl#ding compilation

of the doc#ments re(#ired for facilities t#rnover to the client.
