What is Symptometry?
Symptometry is not alternative medicine. Also, it is
not allopathic (drug) medicine. It is an applied
therapeutic science that addresses the needs of the
cells at the cellular and DNA levels.
What Symptometry Means for You
Root cause therapeuticsTM
delivers four important
benefits to individuals ready to be in full control of
their health:
1. You do not have to live in pain or with
disease any longer!
2. You do not need to depend on medication for
the rest of your life!
3. No disease (herpes, cancer, genetic disorders,
etc.) is incurable!
4. You CAN eat in a way that will prevent
illness!
There are those who think that as long as the pill,
lotion, or herb can suppress their symptoms, they
are cured or healthy. This is not the case.
EATING SCIENTIFICALLY ‘101’
3
Symptometry uses a scientific selection of
particulates to ionize (liquefy) blockages
responsible for illness.
At the same time, the health-seeker is empowered
by the symptometrist with a more refined method
for food selection. It is one that makes family
health history irrelevant, chronic illness a thing of
the past and completely erases the aches and pains
of ‘old age’.
Why Do We Need an Enzyme Chart?
Nutrition has two sides:
a) an upside that only highlights the nutrients
in foods and in beverages and
b) a downside where both nutrients and
health disruptors lay.
Eating items that will require fewer than 20,000
enzymes will help a person to build an enzyme
surplus consisting of 30,000 enzymes with each
meal. Any surplus will be used to produce
functional acids and proteins for tissue repair and
to strengthen the immune system for only one day.
SYMPTOMETRY:

Whether one is battling cancer, fighting allergies or
getting over a head cold, Symptometry ionizes the
blockages and reverses the deficiencies responsible
for the ailment. In order to enjoy health on all
seven fronts, however, one must master eating
scientifically.
The Downside of Nutrition: Part I and What to
Consume both contain the most current versions of
Symptometry’s Enzyme Chart.
Not only do those publications draw the reader’s
attention to the health disruptors in the foods we
love, the included Enzyme Charts help the reader
transition into eating scientifically and into
building an enzyme surplus.
Below are just a few of the suggested ideal food
combinations for optimal cell nourishment. Take
advantage of the 45-essential foods mentioned in
What to Consume to customize your own diet.
If you are currently experiencing health challenges
and are unhappy with your recovery progress, be
sure to take advantage of your free 15-minute
health consultation with a licensed symptometrist: www.symptometry.com/consultation, 708.691.4977.

Cooking Scientifically
Eating scientifically to create an enzyme surplus
will overcome a majority of the challenges
presented by the health disruptors in non-organic
foods. Should you have the means to do so, avoid
cooking with aluminum pots (as the aluminum will
often get into your food) and use wood cooking
utensils whenever, a blender with rotary blades
(necessary for unlocking, and canola oil.
When cooking is necessary, consider using a gas
stove as this is the best method that allows food to
be cooked scientifically. Gas stoves produce a
‘’natural flame’’ that has all three components:
white (hottest); blue (less hot); yellow (least hot).
A flame with all three sections – each section is
easily identified by color – is essential to balancing
the jiggling effect of the atoms as food is prepared.
Cooking devices powered by electricity are
acceptable when it is the only option; however,
cooking over an electric range is better than
preparing food in a crock pot. It not advisable to
attempt to ‘’cook’’ in a microwave oven as such
food preparation has no scientific benefit.
SYMPTOMETRY:

6
Breakfast Lunch or Dinner
Eating scientifically means you are not limited to
the culturally defined meals of ‘’breakfast,’’
‘’lunch,’’ and ‘’dinner.’’ It also means the meals
you consume are low in health disruptors and
require less than 40,000 enzymes to digest (see the
meals suggested below).
(1) Water upon rising (two 8-ounce glasses or
mugs). The consumption of this specific
amount of water after waking helps the
totality of the cells to produce enough (a)
sulfuric acid, (b) nitric acid, and (c)
phosphoric acid.
The above-mentioned acids liquefy all the
debris that cells release into the circulatory
system when the kidneys were filtering
blood as the person slept.
(2) Papaya – any amount of papaya will
suffice as a snack. It is an excellent source
of soluble fiber, rich in nutrients with
minimal health disruptors. To make this
snack a scientific meal, be sure to drink
EATING SCIENTIFICALLY ‘101’

water (until satisfied) about 10-minutes
after eating the fruit.
Note: A person who cannot digest the
papin in papaya is suffering from a serious
enzyme deficit. The enzyme chart in both
What to Consume and The Downside of
Nutrition: Part I will guide you in building
an enzyme surplus.
(3) Mango – any amount of mango will
suffice as a snack. To make this snack a
scientific meal, be sure to drink water
(until satisfied) about 10-minutes after
eating the fruit.
Note: A person with a serious enzyme
deficit will not be able to digest the strong
electrons in mango.
(4) Pineapple – any amount of soft, ripe
pineapple will suffice as a snack since it
(a) has the most benefits for cellular
processes, (b) naturally removes the
plaque build-up in a person’s arteries and
(c) has the least amount of health
disruptors. To make this snack a scientific
SYMPTOMETRY:

meal, be sure to drink water (until
satisfied) about 10-minutes after eating the
fruit.
Note: Pineapple is naturally acidic and
must be allowed to ripen before
consumption. A person who cannot digest
the bromelain and quercetin in pineapple is
suffering from a serious enzyme deficit.
(5) Waffles with goat cheese or blue cheese
(Laughing Cow & Rosenberg Danish blue
cheese brands approved by Symptometry).
Note: this is ideal for anyone ‘’watching
their weight.”
(6) White Bread (Fresh French or Italian
Bread) with goat cheese or blue cheese
(Laughing Cow brand approved by
Symptometry).
(7) Goat milk or organic milk (2% or whole)
consumed with homemade cornbread
(prepared with evaporated milk) and
scrambled egg whites (prepared with black
pepper and fresh green pepper).
EATING SCIENTIFICALLY ‘101’
9
Note: those fighting cancer should never
eat just egg whites as they need the higher
alkaline levels provided by the egg yolk.
(8) Grits (prepared with milk, evaporated milk
preferred) and stewed sardines – sardines
prepared with green bell pepper, onions,
tomato & seasoned with iodized salt and
pepper while over the fire.
(9) The Scientific Sandwich: white bread
(French or Italian bread not more than 3-
days old) plus cooked onions, fresh green
bell pepper, and curry power. If you
choose to add sliced tomatoes, ensure they
are cooked or grilled first.
Meat Choices for the scientific sandwich
include cooked lamb, sardine, moose meat,
and bison/buffalo meat. Ensure any meat
selected is classified as free-range.
(10) Veggie burger: prepared with curry
powder and mustard. Ensure no raw
tomatoes and no raw onions (only cooked).
SYMPTOMETRY:

10
(11) Potato Salad, scientifically prepared to
deactivate the potato’s poison (solanine).
Potato salad: cooked potato – either sliced
or cubed, remove all black spots before
cooking + sliced fresh green bell pepper +
egg-less mayonnaise + half a plastic
teaspoon of low salt vinaigrette (rice
vinegar is a great alternative) + heated
olive oil.
The above-mentioned recipe has critical
molecular combinations. Potato naturally
has a poison called solanine.
Only the mild acetic acid from weak
vinegar can break it up. Breaking up
solanine will make potato an enzyme
builder and safe enough to eat every day.
Note: Any vegetables included in the
scientific potato salad must be
scientifically prepared – see the
instructions included in What to Consume.
(12) Simple lettuce salad: Romaine lettuce or
the head of any lettuce are recommended
EATING SCIENTIFICALLY ‘101’
11
to minimize health disruptors. Sliced green
bell pepper and scrambled egg (whites
only unless battling tumors) with cooked
onions are the safest additions for optimal
cell nourishment.
Any additional vegetables and meats
added should be based on:
(1) Minimizing health disruptors that will
intensify any health challenges that you
currently experience; and
(2) Minimizing the number of enzymes
required to neutralize the food item’s
identified health disruptors.
(13) ‘’The Melissa Diet’’ – unsalted crackers +
slices of avocado + egg-free mayonnaise +
cayenne pepper:
This snack is ideal for those seeking more
energy, but – because of the high
potassium levels in avocado – it is not
ideal for those dealing with pain, diabetes,
inflammation or high blood pressure.
SYMPTOMETRY:
ORIGINATOR ROOT CAUSE THERAPEUTICS
12
(14) Turkey ‘’hot dogs’’ served with mustard,
sliced fresh green peppers (optional) and
cooked onions (optional).
Note: One should limit or avoid ketchup
because of its solanine content, especially
if you have experienced tumors or cancer.
(15) Pasta and tomato stew. Preferred meat
options include free-range lamb, bison,
moose and goat meat as these are the
greatest sources of heme iron.
Note: To maximize the meal’s enzyme
boosting power, ensure tomato stew is
prepared with tomato sauce and not with
tomato paste. Store-bought marinara
sauces are most often prepared with
tomato paste so check the label.
There are too many salicylates in tomato
paste – breaking down these salicylates
will reduce the precious enzyme surplus
that a person is trying to build.
EATING SCIENTIFICALLY ‘101’
13
(16) Cooked goat meat with white rice, slices
of green bell pepper, cooked onions and
parsley.
(17) Couscous with tomato stew and prepared
tilapia (wild only, if available), sardines,
anchovies, or salmon glazed with sympto-
honey.
Note: Salmon is high in potassium; avoid
it and other high potassium foods if you
are fighting pain, inflammation, diabetes
or high blood pressure.
(18) Pizza – no extra cheese; use blue cheese
when possible as it is more nourishing. If
pizza is store-bought, add Rosenborg blue
cheese as it helps to break down the food
coloring in the pizza sauce.
(19) Broccoli soup – cooking softens broccoli’s
acetaldehyde. If making ‘’Broccoli &
Cheese” soup – blue cheese carries the
greatest benefits for the cells.
(20) Collard greens or mustard greens stew
(best served with cooked yams, cooked

green plantains (remove the seeds prior to
cooking), or white rice (prepared
scientifically).
All cooked food must be salted and
seasoned while still ‘’on the fire’’ to
minimize the number of enzymes required
to process the seasoning.
Maximizing the Meal
It is not recommended that one drink any liquids
during a meal. This habit dilutes the digestive
enzymes.
To maximize the amount of digestive enzymes that
will be released for digestion, Symptometry
recommends that one of the following are
consumed 15-20 minutes before a ‘’heavy’’ meal:
(a) Papaya,
(b) Homemade therapeutic ginger drink, or
(c) Pineapple juice (preferably fresh &
homemade or pasteurized with no added
sugar, artificial colors or preservatives).
A heavy meal has four components:
(1) A protein component
EATING SCIENTIFICALLY ‘101’
15
(2) A fat/oil component
(3) A starch component
(4) A water component
On the contrary, a light meal only has two
components:
(1) A sugar component and
(2) A protein component.
For example, Farina (porridge) with sweetened
Stevia® or sympto-honey constitutes a ‘light’ meal.
“Meals’’ that only have one component are
“snacks’’ only as they are merely belly-fillers.
Snacks often lack the necessary molecular
combinations and amino acids to be of significant
nutritional value.
A vegetarian can find excellent enzyme-building
food combinations using Symptometry’s Enzyme
Chart – so can a meat-eater.
Symptometry does offer a word of caution to meat-
eaters, however. The amount of meat consumed in
one meal should not be bigger than four fingers
combined.
SYMPTOMETRY:
ORIGINATOR ROOT CAUSE THERAPEUTICS
16
Additionally, meat should never be eaten twice a
day. Also meat and fish consumption should
always alternate. This is because meat is a
complete protein.
The digestive system spends more time extracting
amino acids from complete proteins (meat) than
from partial proteins (fish).
With regard to those who eat one meal a day, six-
years of experimentation show that those who
engaged in the following habits had a longer
health span than those who ate chaotically during
their one meal a day:
(1) 15-20 minutes before the one heavy meal
of the day, eat papaya OR drink
homemade ginger drink or homemade
pineapple juice;
(2) Ensure the only heavy meal of the day is
consumed between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00
p.m. local time;
(3) Resist drinking water or any beverage
while eating; and
(4) 45-minutes after a meal, drink water until
satisfied (not juice, not milk, not soda pop,
not commercially enhanced or flavored
water either).
EATING SCIENTIFICALLY ‘101’
17
Additionally, when thirsty during the day, drink
half a glass of water instead of another type of
beverage.
Finally, upon waking, drink two glasses of water.
(See previous section to understand the science
behind this recommendation).
Why, you may ask? The answer is simple. Cells do
not break down quickly when nutrients and energy
are well-rationed. One meal a day limits the
number of cells that break down as the digestive
system pulls energy (from all of the body’s organs)
for digestive purposes. Sufficient water intake
ensures that the nutrients consumed are well
distributed.
The Birth of Eating Scientifically
In developing both the Downside of Nutrition: Part
I and What to Consume, the diets of the world were
scrutinized. Scientific screening was used to weed
out many of the foods with an overwhelming
amount of health disruptors. Most of these foods
were either cultural favorites or foods that
nutritionists have long championed as ‘’healthy.’’
SYMPTOMETRY:
ORIGINATOR ROOT CAUSE THERAPEUTICS
18
For instance, people like to eat spinach or cabbage
just because they are green foods. All green foods
are not created equal. Spinach – unfortunately –
has an outrageous amount of oxalates (circulation
blockers). Why should Symptometry recommend
it?
What does scientific screening mean? Thanks to
gas chromatography and liquid chromatography,
Symptometry can guide people to eating
scientifically. This means the identification and
exclusion of the foods that have: nutrient blockers;
citric acid; table sugar; valeric acid; prussic acid;
cyanide poison and solanine poison that cannot be
softened; indoles; oxalates; tumor-causing agents
that cannot be softened; and cancer-causing agents.
The other foods either have a local or regional
character. Secondly, people who eat them (beef,
pork, boiled eggs, corn, crabs, etc.) will – in the
long run – not be healthy. They are not examples
to emulate.
Then, there are indigenous foods in Nepal,
Indonesia, Philippines, Tanzania, Mali, etc. that are
EATING SCIENTIFICALLY ‘101’
19
made with corn, millet, sorghum, rye, etc. No
healthy centenarian eats these foods.
In countries where these scientifically unhealthy
crops are staple foods, approximately half of the
population has one or more chronic diseases.
Moreover, the average life expectancy in these
countries is less than 80 years. By age 50, the body
of most individuals is already falling apart.
The objective of Symptometry is to help people to
live longer – even over 120 years old – in a
disease-free body. The only way to achieve this
noble objective is to help people select their foods
scientifically.
The foods that build large enzyme surpluses are
universal. A local or regional food can be eaten
once in a while, but it is the universal foods that
will have to be eaten almost every day.
The cells of healthy centenarians, who eat the same
food repeatedly, have shown that human cells do
not get tired of routinely accepting what is in their
best interests.

Must-Have Recipes
for Eating Scientifically
The recipes below are shared courtesy of the
American School of Symptometry and
Symptometry, Inc. We encourage you to use them
for your personal benefit. Please realize that all
intellectual property rights apply.
Sympto-Honey Recipe:
This recipe is the ideal replacement for any meal or
beverage that requires sweetening.
Using this recipe - instead of table sugars or
artificial sugars - is especially important if one
suffers from viral infections (a cold, herpes, etc.) or
tumors (both benign and malignant).
Use a plastic teaspoon for all measurements
5 teaspoons of honey (any brand)
1 teaspoon of rice vinegar
Repeat to create the desired quantity
Mix and use immediately
EATING SCIENTIFICALLY ‘101’

Tribasic Sympto-Yogurt:
This recipe is essential for good colon health and
removal of plaque from the entire body (including
your blood vessels and your teeth) as you will
produce a lot of Tribasic calcium sulfate and
Tribasic calcium phosphate.
Dannon yogurt produced the best results in the lab,
but manufacturers can change product content at
any time. Always check the label to ensure no
citric acid is listed in the ingredients.
Use a plastic teaspoon for all measurements
5 tsp. Dannon© Plain Yogurt
1 tsp. Dannon© Vanilla Yogurt
Stir for 2 min. continuously
Let the mixture stand and settle for 15 min.
Eat 10 min. before meals 2x a day
Consume sympto-yogurt for 2 weeks then
take 2 weeks off to maximize its therapeutic
benefits.
Therapeutic Ginger Recipe:
Symptometry’s therapeutic ginger drink has large
quantities of: copper, anti-inflammatory products,

cortisol to properly regulate blood sugar, vitamin
B1, B2, B3, B5 and B12, protein carrier molecules,
anti-virals, anti-molds, anti-bacterials, pH
adjuster and the 20 amino acids for DNA.
Wash and peel 1-pound of ginger rhizome
Put each on a cutting board
Slice and dice it
Put a few pieces into a calibrated blender that
has rotary blades
The pieces should not exceed level 1 of the
blender
Water that is added should be between level 1
and level 2
Cover the blender and press grate, blend,
grind and liquefy with each blender activity
lasting for one minute.
It is the process of grinding that will smash
the ionic bonds that are holding copper tight.
The blender used to prepare the ginger
beverage, MUST have rotary blades.
Add 5 plastic spoons of honey and 1 plastic
spoon of rice vinegar to a teacup. stir the
mixture
EATING SCIENTIFICALLY ‘101’
23
Take a strainer, sit it on a bowl, pour the
content of the blender into the bowl through
the strainer, wash your hand, and squeeze
more juice from the cellulose/fiber that is in
the strainer.
Add sympto-honey (mixture of honey and rice
vinegar) to the juice in the bowl and add half
a small teacup of water.
Note: After 4 days, copper will lose its magnetism.
As a result, it will not be able to penetrate the cells.
In other words, after 4-days, the ginger drink, even
if prepared as above, will be a drink devoid of its
therapeutic activity. This is why a ginger drink
should last for only four days. Prepare a fresh one
every Monday.
Cooking Starchy Foods Scientifically:
The scientific way of cooking white rice and potato is as follows. First, and most importantly, you will need two burners.
SYMPTOMETRY:
ORIGINATOR ROOT CAUSE THERAPEUTICS
24
Next, wash the rice by rubbing one bunch against the other, pour out the white water and add fresh water to the same pot of rice. Put this pot of rice on one of the two burners and fill another pot of identical size halfway full of water so that it may be placed on the second burner. Salt and season the contents of both pots to taste. Light the fire under each pot. While waiting for the water to boil, slice about eight strips of onion and keep them in a separate plate. In 15-18 minutes, the rice will begin to boil. Turn on cold tap water so that it is running in the sink. Take a thick dish cloth, or a set of pot holders, and drain the pot of boiling sugar-laden rice water into the sink. Be sure to slide the pot cover backwards to prevent the rice from falling out and use the dishcloth to prevent the steam from burning your face.
EATING SCIENTIFICALLY ‘101’
25
Immediately after draining the sugar-laden white rice water, use a spoon to quickly scoop the foam from the rice and throw that foam away. Sit the pot back on the same burner; add the onion slices and the boiling water from pot two. Cover the pot of rice, ensure the fire is at a medium level and check it every 10 minutes.
To prevent your rice from burning, add a small amount of water around the edges from time to time as it cooks. Additional Recipes: Symptometry’s first cook book is now available online & you will get the best prices & package
