Government today saidCongress lost badly in the LokSabha election due to non-per-formance and because its "prod-uct" was not marketable, whileBJP succeeded as its productwas good and became a hit with

the people."Let us be clear that the

product should be good. If it isnot, then marketing will makeno impact. Our product wasliked by the people because ofits quality," External AffairsMinister Sushma Swaraj said inthe Lok Sabha.

Swaraj's remarks were a digat Congress leader MallikarjunKharge who had said yesterdaythat BJP is good at marketingand propaganda, suggesting thatit was the reason for its successin the electoral battle in whichCongress was led by RahulGandhi.

"You also did your market-ing. But there was anger againstyour Government...People

accepted Narendra Modi as analternative and the candidates(of the ruling alliance) became

secondary and people cuttingacross caste and creed voted forModi," she said.(PTI)
