We will only highlight the significant draft amendments to SASA and the EEA.

of the appointment of educators To provide for an appeal by a SGB against

the decision of the HOD to appoint an educator

Proposed amendments to the EEA

Section 6 ( insertion of a new paragraph 6(aa) to be considered by SGB’s before recommending to HOD)

Section 6 (ab) Submit a list of 5 candidates to the HOD in order of preference

Section 6 (ac) HOD may choose any candidate on the list

Section 6 (ad) Ensure that criteria was appliedSection 6 (ae) Decline recommendation if criteria
