My Teaching Philosophy

• Education: To teach students the necessary skills in order to be successful in their lives and to make a difference

-Educated in a variety of creative ways that allows students to be aware of their multiple intelligences and practice them actively

-Combine repetition with variety

• Students’ role: Gain the proper knowledge to exceed learning expectations and become successful/make a difference

-Make every effort to do their absolute best on projects, papers, and tests in order to succeed in school

-Hard work/effort + respect + confidence=success

• Teachers’ roles: To teach students the necessary skills in order to be successful in their lives

-To instill in students a love for learning that prompts them to make a difference through their education

-ME: To show them I care; to ignite in my students a love for reading/writing

1) Try your best in everything that you do

2) Treat others the way you would want to be treated

3) Always be confident about your work

Classroom Floor Plan

• Goal: To create and sustain a welcoming yet structured environment (classroom structure)

-Walls filled with student’s work positive reinforcement/encouragement

-Welcome note + daily learning objectives

• Tone: Welcoming + Structured

-An organized yet controlled environment (HOW? You may ask?)

• Misbehavior: An action that a student performs that does not promote the well-being of the class

• Address misbehavior/rebelliousness one-on-one

• System of how to deal with misbehavior:

1) Correct the student on the spot2) Approach him/her after class for discussion3) Call to parents or trip to the office
