Prep- Sidewalk chalk to draw a large circle. Make a circle w ith a long rope if you are p laying on

grass. - One heavier ball to use as the shooter.- Place several beach balls in the circle.

Play- Ask the kids to recall what happened in today?s Bib le story. (The stone had been rolled

away. Jesus was resurrected.) Explain that we w ill p lay a game to help us remember what happened in our Bib le story.

- Challenge the kids to take turns rolling the shooter ball to t ry to knock the beach balls out of the circle. Kids w ill receive one point for each beach ball t he shooter ball knocks out w ithout the shooter leaving the circle. A p layer may cont inue the turn unt il no ball is knocked out or unt il t he shooter ball rolls out of the circle.

- Replace all t he balls after each turn.

Prep- Beanbag for each kid.- Make a list of possib le calls.- Place a line of cones several feet from where the kids w ill be standing.

Play- Explain that on a const ruct ion job the person in charge is called the foreman.- Place a beanbag on each kid?s head and explain that they may not touch the beanbag

w ith their hands. Challenge the kids to pantomime each act ion the foreman calls w ithout losing their beanbag.

Prep- Cones to mark a start ing and f inishing line.- Non-woven fabric (one per team)? About 5 yards long by 24?30 inches w ide. Sew the

ends together to create a loop.Play

- Explain that bulldozers are moved by a set of cont inuous t racks.- Challenge the kids to operate a bulldozer ?t rack? using the fabric loop. Inst ruct the kids

to stand inside the bot tom of the loop and use their hands to hold the top of the loop above their heads.

- Create two teams and see which team can reach the ?Finish? line f irst . Challenge the kids to work together to move the t rack forward.

Prep- Sw im noodles (3 per team)- 1 bucket of water w ith pour spout per team.- 1 empty bucket per team..

Play- Form teams of 6?10 kids. Give each team 3 sw im noodles and a bucket of water.- Challenge the kids to hold the noodles end to end, matching the holes.- Place the empty bucket at one end of the line of kids w ith noodles. - Pour the bucket of water into the f irst noodle and catch the water in the empty

bucket . The object of the game is to be the team that catches the most water in the bucket at the end of the noodles.

Prep- 2 buckets (one per team).- Water.

Play- Form two teams and explain that the kids are going to act like cranes to pass the

bucket of water from one end of the line to the other.- Give the f irst person in each line a bucket f illed w ith water. She w ill raise the bucket

up and pass it to the next person in line. He w ill grab the bucket from her and lower it like a crane. He w ill t hen pass it to the next person.

- Each person in line w ill alternate raising and lowering the crane w ith the bucket down the line.

- The team w ith the most water left in the bucket w ins.

Prep- Make enough water balloons for each team to have one.- Provide a const ruct ion cone or p last ic cup for each kid.

Play- Form teams of two. Stand the partners about 4 feet apart .- Give each kid a const ruct ion cone.- Hand a water balloon to one kid from each team.- Challenge the kids to toss the water balloon into his teammate?s cone.- Move the teams further apart after each throw.- The last team to break their water balloon is the w inner.

Prep- Thread 5 hex nuts onto a chopst ick or sturdy skewer.

Make several sets for kids to share.- Table or another f lat surface.- Timer.

Play- Explain that the kids w ill at tempt to stack f ive hex

nuts in 20 seconds.- Kids w ill stack the nuts by slid ing them off the

skewer w ithout touching them w ith their hands.

- Set the t imer for 20 seconds and call ?Start .? A llow the kids to take turns at tempt ing to complete the stack before t ime is up.

Prep- Lego® bricks- Build shapes out of Lego bricks. Place white paper

over the shapes and rub w ith a b lue crayon to make a b lueprint .

Play- Explain that builders use a pat tern called a b lueprint

to show how a st ructure is supposed to be built .- Encourage the kids to use the Lego bricks to make

the st ructures shown in the b lueprints.

Prep- 10 cups and 4 st rings (about 24 inches)- Rubber band for each team of four.- Use hitch knots to secure 4 lengths of st ring equally

spaced around each rubber band.Play

- Explain that the object ive of the game is for p layers to work as a team to stack all t he cups in a pyramid. The challenge is that p layers cannot touch the cups. They may only use the rubber band tool and their voices.

- Demonst rate how the p layers must worktogether to pull t he st rings and st retch the rubber band to f it around the cup so it can be lif ted into p lace.

Prep- Use permanent markers or spray paint to color washers

two d if ferent colors (3 of each color) .- Use masking tape to d ivide a table in half.- Tape a lid in the center of each side of the table.

Play- Form two teams. Posit ion each team at one end of the

table.- A llow each kid to throw three washers to the target on

the opposite side. Score 1 point for each washer that lands inside the area marked by the masking tape. Score 5 points for each washer that lands in the lid . A fter each kid?s turn, add up the score and alternate which side is throw ing.

Prep- Gather enough sets of matching nuts and bolt s for each

kid to have one or the other. The nuts and bolt s need to be various sizes, but each needs to have a match.

- Const ruct ion hat to hold the nuts and bolt s.Play

- Explain that the phrase ?nuts and bolt s? means the basic details about something. Tell t he kids that they w ill p lay a game that w ill help them learn the ?nuts & bolt s? about their friends.

- A llow each kid to choose a nut or a bolt .- W hen everyone has one, each kid

f inds a partner w ith a matching nut or bolt . Once pairs are found, they should learn three things about that friend.
