Dawn Cottage: Build and Share Week 54, All According to plan

By AuroraDay(Aurora)

We’ll Start with the floor plan layout as requested in the brief. I added the closets when I built this house and customised them to make them look like closets.

This is what Dawn Cottage looks like zoomed in. Those who know Latin will realise that Aurora is Latin for Dawn. It’s a standing joke in my family.

Ignore the completely Random build tools, my camera shots are being annoying today. Anyway, I fenced around the bin and popped a gate in. To be honest I don’t think our sims would appreciate a great big bin stuck right in front of their doorway. I know I wouldn’t!

Here is where the mailbox is and if you will follow me this fenced path leads to the back of the house. There is actually supposed to be a tree there but it has faded while I am taking pictures!

You go through this gate here and follow the entire path along to the back of the house.

So it’s around this way.

Down this way

Eventually you end up at the back door

Back to the front door, and now you get a tour throughout the entire house

When you first come into the house this is what you see, but first we are gonna look at the opposite side of the house.

Over here is a small living area with a TV, bookcase and easel. You can just see a bar area to the left of the bookcase.

Here you can see the bar area and most of the kitchen

Here is the side of the kitchen that contains a stove and a refrigerator.

Here is a sink area and a few counters for preparing meals

Now we go through here, I couldn’t make out what this was on the plan so I made a small dining room.

Here you can see the small dining room, it has a small table with some stools around it. There is also a modern painting.

The Dining Room Also has a great view.

Back to the hallway, the first room we will check out here is the main bathroom.

Here you can make out a toilet and a sink

To maximise space there is a lovely corner bath from the stuff pack.

Between the two bedrooms, there is a closet, (just for prettiness not for use) and a small toilet.

This bedroom is for a child, this room contains many store items so please make sure you check that you have them all.

Here we are, as you can see the room has a great view out onto Sunset Valley’s Maywood Park area. The lucky child will also have a computer.

The walls are a neutral blue and the furniture suits both a boy and a girl.

Turning back towards the door you can see there is another closet in here, as it was on the plan.

The final stop on our tour is the master bedroom that has a private bathroom.

Here we are, there are two closets in here.

Here is the other side of the room, I believe the CC is transferable but if not, it is the Nola Bedroom Set by Angela at TSR which you may be able to find at Paysites Must be destroyed.

In here is the bathroom

Here is a sink area, with a place for the ladies of the house to put on their make-up.

Over here is a toilet area near a window...but luckily it’s away from the prying eyes of the neighbours.

Finally, this is the bathtub in the master bathroom. I hope you enjoyed this tour and have many fun hours playing with Dawn Cottage. I also hope that your sims enjoy it!
