Forces Operation in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Catholic University has become the

first university in Ukraine to introduce the Service

Learning on an institutional level as a part of a new

UCU Strategy-2025 “A Serving University”

• Russia's war against Ukraine (since 2014 till now)

• Veteran status was granted to

369,451 people (July 1, 2019).

• Approximately 24,000 veterans

are residents of Lviv and Lviv

region (+ veterans’ families).

RESULT 1:

Tables of data of organizations Systematized by

- alphabetical and geographical principles,

- types of provided services.

RESULT 2.

An Asset-map with the data of institutions and

organizations for combatants (geographical

location, list of services, contact information)

Social impact

• combatants get a useful map with all organizations supporting combatants and their families

Educational impact

• students expand their knowledge of social organizations

• students develop skills of research and communication

• students find a lack of organizations providing social services

Community involvement

• students interact with social organizations • the developed map can used and developed by

organizations and their clients (existing and potential)

PROJECT PERSPECTIVES

Possible to implement online

Project development:

- adding organizations providing discounts to combatants, combatants business, etс

- mapping of organizations for other target groups

- the same organizations, but different regions

Interdisciplinarity for different programs (Social work, IT, Design, Media communications, Marketing)

Opportunities for academic collaboration (partner universities in Ukraine and abroad)
