Prototype

8/22/2019 Co2 Training

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/co2-training 4/38

• We are using a D96ET model as prototype

• Specifications of D96ET are

4 case chest cooler

Net volume as per ANSIAHAM standard

Co2 Unit Assembly

• Fix the all components on base plate of D96ET

prototype machine.

• The components are compressor, condenser,

Fan, Capacitor stand and etc

on it for unit assembly

Compressor

8/22/2019 Co2 Training

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/co2-training 7/38

• There is three connections for compressor

• They are Suction line, Process line and

Discharge Line

• While removing these line seals we have to

fallow a order for safe and prevent of leakage

of oil.

• Initially we have to remove discharge line seal,

suction line and finally remove process line.

• Take a copper tube as per required length to

join the compressor discharge line and

condenser inlet and make T-Joint on between

this line for charging.

• Connect the heat-Exchanger of one line to thecondenser outlet which is going to the

capillary tube.

• Connect the heat exchanger of line to the

condenser out let(discharge) which is going to

the capillary tube.

• Add one more line to the process line.

• Breaze all joints which are connected.

• Prepare capillary tube 0.031inch dia and 8ft

length.

• Connect the ball valves to the process line and

discharge line T connector for charging

applications.• Connect the capillary tube with the heat

exchanger out let by brazing operation.

• Place the base plate in to cooler body for

braze the suction and discharge line to thebody.

• Check all connections and charge N2 gas for

flesh out and leak test with pressure 300psi.

• After charging the gas, close charging valve

and check all connections with soap test

carefully for detect leak, if any leak we getbubbles on joints.

• After check remove the gas from system by

using ball valve.• Connect the vacuum pump to the charging

ports to evacuate the system.

• Evacuate the system till 0.05m.bar or50microns.

• Stop the ball valves when required evacuation

is achieved.• Remove vacuum pump connections.

Gas charging

• Measure weight of the cylinder .

• Connect the crown make type pressure gauge

to the Co2 cylinder.

• Initially release the crown knob and release

main knob.

• Adjust the crown knob for 5Mpa pressure in

second gauge.

• First gauge is 8.5Mpa shows that pressure

inside the cylinder.• Connect the charging hoses to the compressor

process port line.

Set the weight machine to the ‘0’ state. • Connect the charging line and slowly release

the gas in to the system till 150gms, the

weight machine shows.• Shut off the ball valves and remove the

charging connections.

• Measure the Co2 cylinder weight for

conformation.• Close all the valves at cylinder.

• Connect the electrical wirings to the system as

per diagram.• Close the charging lines by tube pinching with

pinch of player and braze the tube ends.

• Test for refrigerant leak.

• Switch in card plug and give power supply.

• Check the system is working proper or not.• Wait some time for cooling inside the

chamber.
