Our next meeting is August 5th, at 6pm to gather and enjoy a meal of your choosing and we will start the meeting at 7pm at the Pastime Club 5557 US61.

This month on the 17th we have the District picnic held in Jeff City. And the Ride for kids ride is 8/18;

Hello, everyone! We hope you are enjoying your summer. It seems everyone has been busy

with everything from graduations to vacations. It’s a fun time of the year, for sure.

There is always so much to do, including Chapter activities. Watch for emails and check the

newsletter calendar.

One final thought, we plan to attend our first Wing Ding, later in August. We have always

wanted to check it out, and since it’s in Nashville, we decided this is the year. If anyone is

attending, please let us know so we can try to get together!

Motorcycle Awareness

I am late again on news article (CRS). Now summer time has sped up like it always does .

We had a great ride to Blue Boar restaurant in July and allot of fun in Pinkleville, IL where Rich Bartoloni bike broke down when he lost a bolt on front brakes. Thanks to Dan Haney we back tracks to gas station we last stopped and he found it just past a set of railroad tracks. That was about 2 hours after spending time to jury rig his front brakes so he could get home to no avail.

After we ate we had 2 of our bikes dumped in gravel parking lot of Blue Boar restaurant. Just saying this does not happen to trikes!

Our new Dirty Dozen pack are just getting back from a great trip all the way to Canada. I am positive we will have some great stories to hear. I

just got done watching a video on Facebook on dozens of vehicle accidents and all were caused by someone either running a light, driving recklessly, or just not paying attention. I cannot emphasize enough that especially when on our motorcycles you have to observe 360 degrees around you. Slow down at intersections and look right and left before proceeding. Make sure to get attention of drivers of vehicles at cross streets and side roads. Listen to your co-rider at all times. They probably see as much or more than driver. Turn radio volume down in these areas so hear better. Hearing and seeing work to-gether! We hope to see you all at meeting Monday. Ride Smart and Ride Safe!
