IGUAÇU FALLS

NATIONAL PARK of IGUAÇU

Created by Federal Decree of 10th January 1939.Total area covers the Brazilian side with an area of 185.262 hectare with a perimeter of approximately 420 kilometres. The Brazilian and Argentine sides, has attached approximately 225.000 hectare.

The falls were formed about 150 millions of years.The Iguaçu river rises in the HILLS of the SEA, and covers up 1320 kilometres until the mouth.

The big jumps are 19, only 3 of the Brazilian side, most of them are on the Argentine facing, providing a better falls view of the Brazilian side.

The Iguaçu Falls are localized in IGUAÇU NATIONAL PARK at more or less 20 minutes of the centre of city FOZ of IGUAÇU .
