Objectives

• Prepare an “user friendly” automatic test bench to be used at the Cardiac production site

• Check functionality of the boards• Operate a quality selection of FEB

(if necessary)• Generate a database for setup &

future reference

Type of tests which can be performed

• Check of the current absorption• Check of the connectivity from the

signal inputs to the LVDS digital output• Measurement of sensitivity, noise and

bias at different Cdet• Measurement of the time jitter• Check of the functionality of the on

board test system

A sample S-curve

•Raw data are obtained as S-curves at fixed threshold•The value of the Qin @ Vth is evaluated by a gaussian fit of this curve •Noise is evaluated from the variance of the gaussian

Preliminary results

• We have tested 100 Cardiac in 8 hours (51 positives and 49 negatives)

• 20 of this were draining an excessive current from the LV supply (>1 Amp)

Conclusions

• The test bench has been demonstrated to be fast, reliable and accurate

• A new rugged injiector board with 4 card slots is under construction

• The testing of 100 boards in a normal workshifts is feasible

• Limits on the acceptable parameter’s range will be implemented in the software

• Test data will be saved in a database similar to the one used for the MWPC
