Listen what I say:
how pleasing it is to hide behind the furniture
to play longing for the neverending August.
How pleasing to linger away the summer
like sweaters hanging out to dry in the patio
and to feel we set aflame the steppes
with our own blow at self-breath.
Hours are famishing and I seek for microbes
under the plates full of rice, between the pages of the books.

Algunha vez a tarde é como a sopa e pola cunca danzan as culleres.

they eat on our hands

How pleasing it is to hide behind the furniture,

to turn oneself white, white

The second poem, titled “Two bodies, two souls,

about the experience of failing in love. I hope I

Arde a brisa na rúa toda en sombra. A lava ascende pola pel e explode. Hai unha man que vibra e que se asombra De arder sobre outra man que nos sacode.
Burns the breeze in the street
all in shadow.
The lava ascends
on the skin and explodes.
There is a hand that vibrates
and amazes
at its burning on another hand
that makes us shiver.

The cars talk like life talks,
the corners set ablaze the song,
the clothes burn
me going in the street.
Paradise is in the heart.
The clamor of the sand reverberates
and the gold of the universe,
on the asphalt
the footsteps smoke,
on the beds
my best years, sprigtime,
an April cobalt moon
and the bodies consumed
by the flames.

The last poem I go to recite is titled, in German,
“Alle´s Vater” and it´s dedicated
in this case to the sons, this marvelous beings that
mill around life. It says:
ALLE´S VATER / ALL´S FATHER A Helena, Sira, Irene, óscar, Pablo and Adrián / To Helena, Sira, Irene, óscar, Pablo and Adrián
Tendes dereito a descalzar as as sílabas e bañarvos no asfalto.
You sing in the canteens, kids who fired the latin.
And you, who come to the cities to look for a humid
joy, stay here, listening to the heartbeats of the
shopwindows. You have the right to take off the
silabes´ shoes and to swim in the asphalt.

voso pai.
You have right to recite the Monday hymns:

south, to download storms, to pile up stars, to carry
tons of love in almond shells. One day I will find you
flooding seconds with your unique talk, preaching the
life of ascetics with obstinate words and whisperings.
You are princes and castaways, seraphs, Lisboans.
You are all and I am your father.
Chámovos polo nome e vou recollendo as frangullas do camiño.

Seguide a miña flauta, seguídeme a min.
I scare away wolves so that the wood only has a warm
splendor, so that the dead come back to life, so that
the villages are my own family. From the first day of
creation we only treaded the vineyards the same day
that our baptism was to live. Follow my flute, follow
me. Come with me to the white earth because I am
antique and because I love you. Sing this song, kids
of the world, sing at the seabed the keys open
everything, open the sun that has gold nuggets, open
the toys that have inside June, open the verbs that
have inside the life. Repeat with me: they open the
life that is inside verbs and pronouns which say we
love each other. Day of good things that fill us to the
brim, repeating it means loving.
Moitas grazas. Thank you very much.
