Student Athlete Compensation
• People are buying tickets to games.
• People are buying merchandise.
• If people are coming to see someone play, then they should get at least a little money.
• The coaches and administrators get big bucks, the players should too.
A Piece of the Pie
• As far as the players are concerned, the sport is their job.
• The players spend all their time at practice and have no time to get a job. (that is if they could find one that is willing to work with their schedule)
• No job, No money. Not everyone has as many luxuries as others, for some people the only way they are in collage is through a scholarship.
No Money, No Time…
• Paying the athletes will take away from school funding.
• Some schools might not have as much money as others.
• Its not fair to the other clubs who will lose that money to sports.
• Who gets paid what? Does the third-string linebacker get the same as the star quarterback?
