BOW WOW WOW

For this game the children stand in a circle then turn to face their partner. There needs to
be an even number of children. It is helpful to familiarise them with the concept of
changing partners before beginning the game. Ask them to shake hands with their current
partner whilst facing them. Then ask them to walk past their partner, right shoulder to
right shoulder, in the way that they are facing and shake hands with their new partner. It
is helpful to call out '1,2,3, move! Shake hands with your new partner! 1,2,3, move' etc.
The most common mistake in this game occurs when children turn around to look for
their new partner. The most helpful instruction to give is to keep telling them to face the
same way!
When the children have got this concept, you can teach the game!
BOW WOW WOW - clap own hands three times
WHO'S DOG ART THOU? - wag finger at partner as if telling them off!
LITTLE TOMMY TUCKER'S DOG - walk past partner to stand in front of your new
partner
