 Type  Of  Book  Reviews  

 Notes  about  completing  the  book  review:        You  can  do  it  at  home  or  school  when  you  finish  your  book.      It  might  take  you  a  couple  of  S.A.R.  slots.      If  you  made  notes  in  your  Reading  Record  each  time  you  read  have  a  look  at  them  to  help  you  write  the  review.      When  you  have  finished,  give  it  to  your  teacher  and  take  a  new  sheet  for  your  next  book.    Don’t  always  do  the  same  type  of  book  review  e.g  if  you  fill  out  the  sheet  one  time  next  time  do  a  Mind  Map  or  Illustration.    This  note  and  the  review  to  complete  are  on  the  School  Blog  in  case  you  lose  them.    1.    Book  Review  Completion  –  Use  the  Book  Review  sheet  and  fill  in  all  the  information  asked  for.      You  can  write  in  sentences,  bullet  points  or  short  phrases/notes.    2.      Mind  Maps    Create  a  Mind  Map  on  your  Book.    You  can  do  it  in  coloured  pen  or  pencil.      Although  you  can  organise  it  how  you  want,  you  must  include  the  following:    Title  (In  the  middle?)  and  Author  Characters,  Plot,  Genre    You  will  need  to  make  sure  you  have  a  sheet  of  plain  paper  for  this.    3.    Illustration  Book  Review    Draw  a  DETAILED  picture  about  your  book/a  scene  from  the  book/character  from  the  book.      You  may  wish  to  draw  it  in  pen  or  pencil.      As  the  main  thing  is  to  make  it  detailed,  you  may  not  want  to  colour  it  in.    Do  NOT  just  copy  the  cover  of  the  book.    Label  parts  of  the  drawings  or  add  a  couple  of  sentences  to  explain  what  is  happening.
