Craft Work:

public Day were celebrated

through art and craft activi-

ties.

Various activities such as Spin A Yarn, Spell Bee, Story Narration, Word Building and

Reading Competition were held during the English Week.

Learning Beyond The Text:

• Pronoun Search: The students searched for pronouns in the articles of the newspaper.

• Hands on activities to introduce the topics of ‘Opposites’ and ‘Pronouns’ were done.

• Collage work on different seasons was done related to the lesson—बारी -बारी आते मौसम | • The topic of multiplication was dealt by an interesting activity ‘Making Arrays’.

• The students learnt to draw animals with the letters of the English alphabet.

• The students were shown miscellaneous items that are kept in a first aid box. Through video

clips, role play activities they learnt how to administer first aid to an injured person.

• Life Skill Project: Sorting Activity for the motor development and hand/eye coordination.

Classes III –V

Special Assemblies:

The students of class III C put up a special assembly on the topic “ The Pillars Of Our Nation.’ The

assembly highlighted the contribution of the freedom fighters and renowned industrialists of our coun-

try who have contributed immensely in the political, economic and financial growth of India.

To commemorate the 123rd birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, class III B presented a

special assembly on his life and achievements.

Activities:

• In the Inter House Patriotic Song Competition, Aravali House bagged the 1st position fol-

lowed by Vindhya House and Nilgiri House.

• The Junior School Annual Sports Day was held with enthusiasm and a spirit of sportsmanship.

Dhaulagiri House was adjudged the best house.

The 71st Republic Day of India was celebrated with patriotic fervour and zeal. The flag hoisting

ceremony was followed by the national anthem, patriotic song and a short skit on Dr. B. R

Ambedkar, father of the Indian Constitution.

Workshop:

Ms. Shabnam, Ms. Anindita, Ms. Kanika Joshi , Ms. Dolly, Ms. Neha Joshi, and Ms.

Bharati of Junior School had attended a workshop ‘Innovative Pathshala’ organised by

the Aurobindo Society. These teachers held a workshop for the other staff members

apprising them of few new ways in making teaching a joyous experience.
