Bing Kong Tong Building at the completion of Phase 1

Grants provided by CCHE and SHRA

The Final Weeks of Phase 1-Stabilization ConstructionAfter removing all the old siding, shiplap and tin, new plywood was added for shear and new tin sheeting with the brick pattern was applied over it.

The façade was restored by replacing the 2nd story balcony and extending the supports down through the sidewalk as they had been in the past.

Window frames were reconstructed in the original pattern and will be painted to match the original colors.

The building has been reroofed and the front parapet wall rebuilt to replace badly dry rotted wood.

The building has been painted white, its original color. New wooden arches frame each of the front doorways.
