BOOF & BeyondBOOF & Beyond2 years of research through the BOOF program has
allowed youth participants to look at the implications of predatory lending to problem gamblers in Daly City.
BOOF participants feel that policies should be passed to limit where Payday lenders can operate.
Next Steps: Youth are working with elected officials in Daly City to pass a Model Ordinance Policy.
BOOF films will be shared to mobilize community residents about problem gambling and predatory lending.
BOOF & BeyondBOOF & Beyond✴ The National Endowment for Financial
Education (NEFE) was invited to speak at our annual youth BOOF conference.
✴ The NEFE High School Financial Planning Program helps young people turn financial education in to real actions that result in positive habits.
✴ BOOF youth now have additional tools and resources to share with their peers and family members who may be facing financial hardships due to problem gambling.
