Log & Timeline

Keep it simple….☺❖ Read the workbook!

❖ Know how work will be evaluated- Before work is begun!

❖ Ask for assistance before a deadline is missed!

Don’t let this be you!

You lose your Portfolio...

Your Mom /Dad throws it away cleaning your room /cleaning out the car.

Your Portfolio is in the car when it crashes, is towed, catches fire…

Your boyfriend / girlfriend becomes your EX and you can’t get your Senior Project stuff back.

OR

You blow off deadlines.

You plagiarize your product, paper or speech.

Save all of your work!

Completed templates, photos,

etc.

■ EVERYONE is encouraged to have a mentor.

■ A mentor may help boost your Senior Project Grade. ☺

■ Family and Friends “OK” to guide you

(but not OK for credit)

■ Community based Mentors for extra credit must have

expertise in the Product topic

and CAN NOT be family.

If You’re on Co-op:

■ Make arrangements with your Shop teacher to be graded

■ Be prepared to come to school on the due dates

■ Be responsible■ You will not be eligible for

Co-op if you get a grade of less than a C for the 1st or 2nd trimesters.

Product Evaluation Due Dates:

■ October 12th

■ November 16th

If your Senior Project includes a Fundraiser:

■ Keep track of the funds you raise for your non-profit agency.

■ You must meet with the Business Manager, Mrs. Orcutt, to set up an account.

■ Technical instructors will be required to monitor monies collected and sign off that the student has disbursed the funds to the intended non-profit.

■ .

Community Partner Form

Community Partners: Those people/organizations that you are coordinating with to plan an event for your Product.

What should you do?Complete this form and put in your Portfolio BEFORE the First Product Evaluation.

Research Paper format…

■ Your English instructor will support the Paper phase.

■ You will write a technical paper that will demonstrate your technical knowledge.

■ Your English Instructor will grade your paper and your Shop Instructor will specifically grade the technical content of your paper.

Presentation – Social Studies

■ The Presentation phase is supported and partially graded by your Social Studies teacher.

■ Students will have opportunities for “dress rehearsals”

■ Make your Portfolio presentation ready.
