was a holy building which pilgrims came to see. Inside of it was a stone that Arabs believed was from heaven.

They believed in many gods but their main god was Allah, the creator.

His journey was known as a Hijrah. Which means breaking of relationships.

political power to uphold Islam.He built an army and his soldiers conquered

Mecca in 630.Mecca became Islam’s holy city.

BeliefsIslam is a monotheistic religion.Believe they must obey God to be blessed in

the afterlife. Muslims believe that Abraham, Moses, Jesus

and Muhammad were all prophets. They believed no other prophet would come after Muhammad.

QuranThe Quran is the holy book of Islam. (it is like

their Bible)In the Quran, is the writings of messages

Muhammad revived from Allah.In the Quran, it says Muslims cannot eat

pork, drink liquor, or gamble.

3. LawsMuslims must complete the 5 pillars of Islam

in order to enter into paradise after death. They must also follow a law code that was

created by Islamic scholars.The law code was made by using the Sunna

(Islamic Customs) and the Quran.
