En el pasado intenté alertar a la gente blanca de mi identidad racial por adelantado. Desafortunadamente, esto invariablemente les hacía tratarme como alguien insistente, manipulador, o socialmente inapropiado. Así pues, mi política es asumir que la gente blanca no hace este tipo de comentarios, incluso cuando creen que no hay ninguna persona negra presente, y distribuyo esta tarjeta cuando lo hacen. Lamento cualquier incomodidad que mi presencia le pueda estar causando, así como, estoy segura, que usted se lamenta de la incomodidad que su racismo me ha causado”
