AUSSIE LAKONIANS NEW YEARS EVE DINNER DANCE 2016 Peter Adamis 1 January 2017

The Pallaconian Brotherhood Leonidas located in Brunswick Victoria conducted its New Year’s Eve Dinner dance under the leadership of the President Kon Glekas.

The President Kon Glekas and his team of volunteers put on a successful and splendi d New Year’s Dinner Dance not seen since the days the Brotherhood was initially created. Lively music, good food, great friends, dancing and the community spirit to go along with it. Children were running around like days of old and one could be excused for thinking that the Committee of Management had in fact brought back nostalgia days of old.

There were five ex-presidents in the room at the same time, many of the old hands were sitting alongside each other, families congregating ; exchanges of greetings across the hall, many happy faces and a joy to behold. Some members had not seen each other for years and it was wonderful to capture the moment of their reunion in time.

The President Kon Glekas gave a speech welcoming everyone and looked forward to 2017 with great confidence and optimism advising the guests that the Pallaconian Brotherhood was open for business and looked forward to seeing everyone in the New Year. He thanked his team on the Committee of Management for their support and wished everyone a safe, happy, health and great new year .
