From January 27 through January 30, we had our annual state health survey and were found to be deficiency free. I am so proud of the Hillcrest Shadow Lake team for working together and providing quality care to the residents we serve on a daily basis.

Does this mean we are perfect? No, but it shows that we are working toward doing what is right or correcting issues when they come up. Over the next year, our goal is to satisfy each of our residents and make them feel like they are part of our family here at Hillcrest Shadow Lake. We are now completely done with the renovation and all areas of the building are open. You will notice that the main corridor, which separates the front of the building from the back, now primarily consists of administrative offices. We hope this makes it easier for our families and visitors to find assistance if you have any questions about your loved ones. If anyone wants a private tour so you can see all of the renovations, please contact anyone on the administrative team. Thank you, and we hope you enjoy and appreciate the changes made over the last 14 months.-Kevin Sauberzweig, Administrator

March Birthdays

This month we will start planting seeds for our garden. We have several raised planters we will be using this year. We will also be planting some plants in the ground in one of the outdoor courtyards. St. Patrick’s Day is on the 17th, and we will be celebrating with a social in the afternoon. Several entertainers will be coming this month, and Jim Barnes is coming on the 27th to talk about Nebraska history. We have a lot of outings planned this month, including shopping at Walmart, lunch outings and a movie outing. If you would like to accompany your loved one for any outings please let me know. -Ashley Walters, Director of Recreation
