Every Disabled Child Matters group concerns(refer to document)

“EDCM is particularly concerned that the code does not describe in sufficient detail how the

system will improve outcomes for children with SEN who do not meet the threshold for an

education, health and care plan, nor take into account the needs of disabled children without

SEN for joined-up services as well.”

2 Information about the policy for identification and assessment of pupils with SENAt name of school we monitor the progress of all pupils six times a year to review their progress. We also use a range of assessments with all the pupils at various points list of universal assessments eg Y1 phonics screening, speech link, language link, spelling age, reading age and when they are used  Where it is not sufficient, even if special educational need has not been identified, we put in place extra support to enable the pupil to catch up. Examples of extra support are list of examples.

4 The name and contact details of the SEN Co-ordinatorThe SENCO at name of school is name of SENCO, who is a qualified teacher and has been accredited by the National Award for SEN Co-ordination and also holds the following qualifications list of other qualifications.Or is undertaking the National Award for SEN Co-ordinationOr has been a SENCO continuously since before 1 Sept 2009 and is not required to undertake the National Award for SEN Co-ordination Name of SENCO is available on telephone number or email address. If the SENCO is class teacher or part-time give best times to contact here.

– Pilot work (wider sampling) to understand impact on future costs

– SENCOs should continue to be aware of the cost of interventions (in case you are part of the sample)

Statutory Assessment Pilot Update

• Pilots continuing in Swale, Gravesham and Tonbridge & Malling – now moving to LIFT venue not at County Panel

• Ashford joining the pilot – using LIFT venue

• No decision yet about rolling out to other 8 districts

School improvement Support offer from September 2014

• Core support to all schools (non-chargeable)

• Service level agreement with schools– SLA Entitlement– The Credit system

• CostBetween £2,500 and £10,000 depending on size of

school (academies + VAT)
