Covid-19 Procedures: Intro

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami – Dade County (AAC) is following Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and County guidelines to AAC is working diligently to make sure its staff, guests, clients and volunteers are well prepared concerning their safety and security.

Health & Hygiene

Arsht Center staff &

volunteers should

practice the following

guidelines at all times:

• Face Covering

• Social Distancing

• Handwashing

Plastic Gloves & Other PPE

• Plastic gloves are available at every shift

• Face shields are welcome in addition to your face mask.

Temperature Screening

All volunteers, staff and guests will

be required to fill out a health survey

and have their temperature taken

onsite using AAC’s touchless

thermometers prior to entering the

premises.

Uniform

• Volunteers need to arrive in Standard

Usher Uniform• If you do not currently own a vest, or white button shirt, you

will be provided with a new one for you to use moving

forward. Please be sure to launder your full uniform

thoroughly prior to reporting for your next shift.

• Additional vests and shirts will be available for purchase.

• Ushers must arrive with their own flashlight.• If you do not currently own a flashlight, you will be provided

with a flashlight. Please be sure to write your name on it and

sanitize it prior to each shift.

• Additional flashlights will be available for purchase.

Nametags & Storage

NAMETAGS WILL BE ON THE FRIDGE. ONLY TWO PEOPLE IN THE CLUBHOUSE AT A

TIME

THERE WILL BE NO STORAGE FOR PERSONAL BELONGINGS. ALL PERSONAL ITEMS MUST BE KEPT ON THEIR PERSON.

We are restricting use of any

communal coffee pots, food

refrigerators and other devices

which could be a possible cross

contamination locations.

Shift Rules: Check - In

Briefing will take place in the Atrium

Covid-19 Procedures-Guests

Housekeeping has a rigorous

cleaning and sanitization

protocol, including more

frequent cleaning of restrooms

and any touchpoints for public

spaces including door handles,

elevator buttons, etc. All of these

protocols were presented to

Miami-Dade County for approval

prior to reopening.

We have increased the

number of touchless hand

sanitizers around the

campus.

All staff, volunteers, crew,

contractors and guests are required

to wear a cloth face covering

securely over the mouth and nose

at all times.

We have a reserve of 3 ply surgical

masks to distribute if someone

arrives without a face covering or a

face covering less than the standard

expected.

Egress• Staggered exit times• Announcements from stage/VOG• Elevators will be reserved for any patrons who have a mobile disability.

• **In the case of an emergency egress, the goal of maintaining six feet social distance will become secondary if there is a clear and imminent danger that requires an emergency evacuation. Moving guests away from the most urgent hazard still remains the utmost priority.
