Mr. Khattak has extensive experience in engineering, maintenance, human resource management, project management and marketing. He has travelled and worked extensively throughout Asia covering downstream oil, petrochemicals and renewable energy focused assignments around the world. Clive has been a member of Nexant’s consulting team for over twelve years, during which time he has undertaken assignments in more than 40 countries. Typical assignments have included investment appraisals, strategy studies, or mergers and acquisitions work, on behalf of a wide variety of project sponsors and financial institutions.Prior to joining Nexant/Chem Systems in 1999, Clive spent six years working for ExxonMobil at Fawley Refinery, the largest refinery in the UK, where he undertook a number of operational and commercial roles.Clive graduated from the University of Nottingham, England with a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering

John Vautrain is the Senior Vice President & Director of Purvin & Gertz based in Singapore. He heads up the firm’s Asia-Pacific consulting activities and is responsible for maintaining contacts with industries, financial institutions and government agencies located in the Asia-Pacific region. Since 2000, Mr. Vautrain has been located in Singapore after assignments in Texas and California. John joined Purvin & Gertz as a consultant in 1981. Before joining P&G he was with Phillips Petroleum Company and Union Carbide Corporation in petroleum refining and petrochemical manufacturing operations. John holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Texas and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Utah.
