CASE 1

CROSSED ELECTRIC, MAGNETIC FIELDS {VELOCITY SELECTOR}

CASE 2

CASE 3

Instantaneous velocity

Instantaneous position

CASE 4

Particle is moving only in XZ plane

Motion of the charged particles in the crossed electric and magnetic fields.Depending on the initial velocity the trajectory of a particle can be TROCHOID(blue curve) or CYCLOID (red curve). If the initial velocity V=cE/B, then theelectrostatic force will equilibrate the magnetic force of Lorentz and the particlewill move in a STRAIGHT LINE (violet).
