27th Sunday: Ordinary Time

Alleluia, Alleluia,Christ is with us,

He is with us indeed Alleluia

And so we gather. In the name of the Father…

You bring us to your truth. Lord Have mercy.Lord, have mercy.

You are our guide. Christ have mercyChrist, have mercy.

You always free us to love you. Lord have mercy

Lord, have mercy.

God of light, help us to see that even with the smallest amount of faith, we can do anything you ask of us. We ask

this through Christ our Lord.

Amen

Alleluia, AlleluiaAlleluia, Alleluia

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke

Glory to you, Lord

The Gospel of the Lord

Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

Alleluia, AlleluiaAlleluia, Alleluia

I wonder what you heard in the Gospel today?

What did the apostles ask Jesus to do?

What difference can faith make to our lives?

How can we help our faith to grow?

Faith helps us to pray and prayer helps us to believe. It is when we pray that the flickering flame of faith burns within our hearts more brightly.

The flame fills our lives with the light of Christ so that we can see the way to follow him and warms our hearts with Christ’s love to share with the world.

The response is sung, Lord hear our prayer.

We pray for all who hold and teach the Christian faith; may it be firmly rooted in our hearts and livesLord in your mercy Lord hear our prayer…

We pray for an end to hatred and fear in our world. May we work together to share the gift of Christ’s peace Lord in your mercy Lord hear our prayer…

We pray for the poor and the hungry may we recognise and meet their needs. Lord in your mercy Lord hear our prayer…

The response is sung, Lord hear our prayer.

We pray for the sick and all who are in pain; may their faith in God’s love bring them comfort and healing.Lord in your mercy Lord hear our prayer…

Knowing that our heavenly Father is listening,

in the silence of our hearts letus share our unspoken

prayers with Him.

Let us say this prayer together

Loving FatherIncrease our faith and make our livesA perfect offering to you.We make these and all our prayersThrough Jesus Christ your beloved SonAmen

We are going to sing our hymn now. During the hymn could one person from each class come and collect your mission for your class focal point.

Father, I Place into Your Hands

Father, I place into your handsThe things that I can’t do.Father, I place into your handsThe things that I’ve been through.Father, I place into your handsThe way that I should go,For I know I always can trust you.

Father, I place into your handsMy friends and family.Father, I place into your handsThe things that trouble me.Father, I place into your handsThe person I would be,For I know I always can trust you.

Father, we love to see your face,We love to hear your voice.Father, we love to sing your praiseAnd in your name rejoiceFather, we love to walk with youAnd in your presence restFor we know we always can trust you.

Father I want to be with youAnd do the things you do.Father, I want to speak the wordsThat you are speaking too.Father, I want to love the onesThat you will draw to you,For I know that I am one with you.
