It’s hard to imagine my father Phil Philips creating Tayco Panelink Ltd. in 1976, when he was only 26 years old. He began with a three-person team, one product, a young family and a huge amount of ambition. To this day, I can’t say I’ve worked with anyone as committed and driven to find a solution. He is always searching for a better way. In many ways, he is the classic “hands on family business” owner, he’s visible, accountable and always available. What makes my father unique is his desire to create jobs for people who need them most and his steadfast loyalty to people who have helped him along the way. Even though Tayco’s customer base and product offering has grown dramatically over the years, I never lose sight of where we started and the values from those early days. We remain a quality office furniture manufacturer with a hands-on approach to the constantly evolving work environment.
Increasingly corporations are recognizing that a positive and healthy company culture is vital to achieving employee satisfaction and meeting business goals. Tayco develops product solutions, helping businesses to create the ideal working environment allowing them to maximize their potential. This book serves as a snapshot of Tayco’s progressive styles and planning possibilities in 2017. I like to think that our 41 year history is embedded into many of our product designs. We will continue to listen to our clients and anticipate their needs in both our current products and future designs. We remain as passionate today as our inception.
