End of Term 3 – Early dismissal @ 2.30pm THIS
Friday 18th September 2015 Term 3 is definitely a favourite of mine (but then so are
terms 1, 2 and 4!) because there are some stand-out moments to be had with the annual production,
interschool sport and Book Week all causing great
excitement. Term 3 is a big term for the children and staff – here is a list of many, but not all of the activities
that took place.
Soccer Play Project
Community Connections
St John first aid
School Visits
Rotary Community Award preschool visits
Hot Dog Day
AFL 9s
Interschool Sport
Belvey Bunch
Book Week
Sporting Schools
Father’s Day stall
Lightning Premiership
Moonlight Sanctuary
Footy Day
Rugby Gala Day
Whole School Disco
We’ve also had a big term in our work to keep improving our facilities for the kids. The painting of
Harmony Hall and the Foundation (Prep) Portable has
made a massive difference to the appearance of those buildings and the new deck is a humdinger!
Gutters and spouts have been replaced in a number of locations. We’ve continued our work in draining
Lake Belvedere and I am close to confident that this time we’ve been successful. I’m told the problem has
existed for many years so I’ve fingers crossed that the
next good rains drain away happily and “floaties” are no longer required at the front gate on a wet day!!
Our next big project is new concreting to replace paths at the Seaford Rd and Belvedere Rd entrances
and an extension to the concreting between the bike
shed and the building to delete that wet and muddy area.
I wish you all a fantastic, relaxing and fun holiday and I look forward to seeing you all back here for the start
of term 4 by 9.00am on Monday 5th October 2015.
Reminder – For safety reasons, dogs are not permitted in the school grounds.
Have a successful week everyone and thanks for
helping to make our school a great school.

STUDENT OF THE WEEK
“Belvedere Idol 2015” Auditions for “Belvedere Idol” this year will be held
during the 3rd week of next term, starting on Monday the 19th of October. Students from all year levels are invited
to attend. Fifteen finalists will be selected to perform in front of the whole school on Wednesday the 18th of
November from 11:35-1:00. Parents are most welcome to attend the final performance day. The standard of acts
last year was outstanding and we are all looking forward
to the same quality this year.
“The Belvey Bunch”
Also, I would like to extend a huge thank-you to all the
staff, students and other members of our community for their wonderful support of our whole school concert,
“The Belvey Bunch” this year. The performance of all our students over the twelve week rehearsal process was
outstanding. Well done to our extremely talented Main
Cast as well. A special thank-you to Adele Rea and Julie Cain for their ongoing support and assistance in making
our school musical such a marvellous event. Thanks Mr.Bolma’t.
